Sometimes it's nice when your shoe laces become undone during a race. It gives you a valid reason to catch a breather while you re-tie them.
But if you're on a mission to set a new PR, you may want to secure your footwear this other way, in a reef knot. With this technique, the further you run, the tighter the knot becomes. The best part of all is, the method is probably not much different from the way you currently tie your laces.
